Teaching your child calming practices during a meltdown is not going to work.
It's one of the biggest things that I hear - "Oh I tried that once, it didn't work", and it's just like no, no it wouldn't. It is not the time!
I know in those big moments - the tantrum, the meltdown, the night where they just wont go to sleep because anxiety is so high....that moment is the moment we are like "this practice would really help." but it just isn't the way to do it.
This is.....
In Family Yoga Game Night, we work on these skills BEFORE the tough moments. It becomes a fun, weekly practice that you and your child get to explore together.
And this is doing 2 things...
- Helping build their capacity for big emotions. We are supporting their nervous system so that they are able to come back into balance easier and so they aren't holding on to everything.
- We are helping them build these skills in a playful and calm way so that they are going to be easier to access in those tough moments. They will have more self-awareness and have the necessary tools to support self-regulation.
This way these practices are normalised in your home. Your child starts asking to do a bedtime meditation or a playful practice when they've had a hard day. They start becoming more aware and more able to express what they need to help bring balance.
Supporting kids with self-regulation is important but it doesn't need to be boring!
This is a membership that focuses on playful, engaging yoga and mindfulness practices that help to build emotional regulation skills without pressure and without taking hours at a time.
You’re not forcing them to sit still or “calm down.” You're not trying to remember what to do in heated moments. Instead, you’re exploring movement, breath, and fun games that naturally support their nervous system and support your child in the long term.
Because here’s the truth: A meltdown is not the time to teach regulation skills.
Kids learn best when they’re feeling good, not when they are already dysregulated. That’s why this practice is so powerful. You’re laying the foundation before the storm hits and building a better baseline of regulation for your child's nervous system.
All about this cosey club we have going here 🥰
I created this membership not just because I love teaching kids and families yoga, but because I am a mum of two and I know how much these practices can change your whole week. They can help bring more calm, more connection and more fun while also helping your child with building emotional regulation skills.

The Science-Backed Benefits of Children's Yoga
Yoga isn’t just stretching—it’s a powerful tool for a child’s emotional, physical, and mental well-being. Research shows that practicing yoga can help children regulate their emotions, improve focus, and even support their learning.
Here’s why it works:
✨ Supports Emotional Regulation
Studies have found that yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” system), reducing cortisol (the stress hormone) and increasing dopamine and serotonin, which support mood balance. This helps children develop self-regulation skills, making it easier to manage frustration, anxiety, and big emotions.
✨ Builds Focus & Concentration
Mindful movement and breathwork strengthen the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for focus, decision-making, and impulse control. A study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that yoga improves attention and executive function in children, especially those with ADHD.
✨ Enhances Social & Emotional Skills
Yoga encourages self-awareness, empathy, and communication, which are key components of emotional intelligence. Research in Early Child Development and Care suggests that children who practice yoga regularly develop greater emotional resilience and social skills.
✨ Improves Sleep & Reduces Anxiety
Yoga has been shown to reduce bedtime struggles and improve sleep quality by lowering heart rate and calming the nervous system. A study in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine found that mindfulness-based practices, including yoga, significantly improved sleep in children with insomnia or anxiety.
✨ Develops Strength, Coordination & Body Awareness
Unlike competitive sports, yoga allows children to move in a non-judgmental, exploratory way, improving motor skills, balance, flexibility, and strength. This physical confidence translates into improved self-esteem and comfort in their own bodies.
✨ Teaches Coping Strategies for Life
Yoga provides lifelong tools like deep breathing, grounding techniques, and mindful movement to help kids navigate stress, changes, and challenges. A study in Psychology Research and Behaviour Management found that children who practice yoga show fewer behavioural problems and greater emotional resilience compared to their peers.
Incorporating yoga into your child’s life isn’t just about movement—it’s about giving them skills they can use forever to navigate emotions, build confidence, and find calm in a busy world. 💛

Why This Membership Is Different
Most kids' yoga programs focus on watching a screen and following along—but Family Yoga Game Night is about real connection, not just another online class.
There is no flashy graphics, it's just me sharing yoga with you from my own kitchen corner. This is not about using flashy images and fast moving things on the screen to engage your child's attention - this is about the video simply being a guide and the focus being on YOUR PRACTICE. This is what is going to help with regulation.
These are resources I have put together not only as a family yoga teacher but also as a parent. I know what works, not just in a beautiful yoga studio but in the chaos of everyday, real life.
This membership is designed to get you and your child moving, playing, and practicing together in a way that feels fun and natural.
It's not just about yoga poses—it’s about helping you build the skills to hold space for your child’s emotional regulation through playful, engaging practices that fit into real life.

Are you ready to make family yoga a part of your journey?

Meet the teacher
Hey, I’m Natasha, and I’ve been teaching children’s yoga since 2017. As a mum of 2 sensory sensitive, deep feeling kids, I know first hand how tough emotional regulation can be—for both parents and children. But here’s the thing: when we make emotional skills playful and fun, it changes everything.
Through my own journey as a parent, I’ve discovered how to bring calm and joy to my home using playful yoga and mindfulness practices. Now, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned with you!
I don’t have a fancy studio or a perfect Instagram home. I teach from my cosy living room or the corner of my kitchen. My mission is simple: to help families feel calmer, closer, and more confident through playful yoga and mindful connection. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence.
Is Family Yoga Game Night Right for You?
- You want to teach your kids emotional regulation skills without it feeling like you're talking to the walls.
- You’re looking for a fun and meaningful activity to practice with your child.
- You’re ready to feel more connected, calm, and confident as a family.
This is not for you if...
You're not a parent, caregiver, or teacher of children aged 4 to 12, or if you're looking for live classes or a more personalized approach.
If holistic well-being and mindful, connected practices aren’t your priority right now , this membership might not suit your needs. Also if you're looking for videos your child can simply follow along with, this won't be for you. Our focus is on shared, interactive practices, not solo activities for your kids.
During your time in this membership, you will:
- Have a family routine that supports emotional regulation.
- Know exactly how to bring more moments of calm into your week together.
- Feel more connected with your kids through playful, meaningful activities.
- Gain a deeper understanding of yoga practices for children.
- Be part of a community that prioritize children's wellness.
The Truth Is...
If you want to help your children build emotional resilience, you need to make time for it. But it doesn’t have to be hard or time-consuming, and you don't have to do it alone. You get to be part of the cosy club now 😍
